Special Card Week 2018

A hand-written message inside a greeting card is hard to beat ...if you want to connect with someone.

In a world where more than 100 billion emails are sent each day, it’s all too convenient to send off a quick text, email, or WhatsApp message to say 'thank you' or 'Happy Birthday'. But today does this really convey your message?

Putting pen to paper and writing a personal hand-written message to mark an occasion has meaning. What makes a greeting card emotionally powerful, is what is written inside.  A hand-written greeting card is special because it creates a personal happy emotional connection between you and the recipient. Recent industry research by UK card industry shows that displaying cards in the home makes us feel happier and connected to family and friends, which is why we often slow to take cards down.

Make your next Greeting Card special... and add a personal hand- written message inside

UK 2017 Thinking of You Week
                                                   September 25th to October 1, 2017

Established back in 2013 by the UK Greeting Card Associations annual Thinking of You Week aims every year to build on a wave of love, caring and happiness through the sending and receiving cards.

To enter into the spirit of this event you need to send seven cards to seven different people over the week, and encourage friends and family to do the same.

Its a fact that people love to receive cards as they know the sender has taken the time to think of them. Moreover, receiving a handwritten card creates a positive feeling of wellbeing and means so much...and it also makes us feel good to send a card.

The cards can be sent for a variety of reasons, to say 'Hello', to send a sentiment to show someone they are special, to say 'I Love You', to make someone smile...or simply to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Take a few moments out to thinking of those whom would be touched by receiving a card - to say a few words to let them know how special they are to us. This could be a relative, a distant friend, someone in hospital or care ...or a person close to us. Its entirely up to you.

So, get going and encourage others to participate and lets make 2017 Thinking of You Week a week of celebration of our friendships...

Here's a few thoughtful messages that could be used ... when sending your cards. Maybe, they might give you inspiration - to write your own and include on your card. Please join us in supporting TOYW 2017!

Here's some messages you might like to consider for your cards...

'Some friends come and go in our lives.  But some stay forever'

'A friend is forever and always'

'Blessed am I, because we are friends'

                                             'Thank You for Loving Me'

'Time and Distance don't keep us apart'

'Its not always easy for me to say how I feel, but I hope you know how much I care'
